Visual Kit
Visual Kit
The Visual Kit is a portable pelican case computer. You can plug in an HDMI, power and XLR from front of house and hit go. If AutoVJ is turned on it automatically transitions through audio reactive patches which use data from the live sound to drive visuals and transitions that dynamically match the intensity of live music. In the demo video I set the transitions to happen faster than they normally would for demonstration purposes. The kit also has a camera that just needs to be pointed at the band which is used for the visual patches that use live video. The kit is designed to work with or without an operator and the patches and content can easily be customized, switched out or cycled. The visual kit was successful deployed on a 22 show US tour, setup by the sound person and ran without any problems. The music in this demo is an unreleased song by Silk Screen. Reach out for any questions or a demo.
Live Installations/Art Using Realtime Data
This is an audio reactive light sculpture built for Seismic EDM Festival. These columns were pixel mapped in touch designer where various audio reactive patterns/colors were reacting live to the music and patched to the lights in this sculpture.
This is the ‘Visual Kit’, It’s a custom gear/media system built to automate the need for a live audio reactive projection artist at shows or on tour. Using a custom touch designer system which switches between live audio reactive visual systems per song and utilizes audio from FOH through XLR to bring the visuals to life and in sync with the music.
This is a live wind visualizer. I am using a wind sensor that detects wind strength, direction, verticality, humidity and temperature. I’m using that data, live in touch designer to drive a particle system which matches the intensity, turbulence and direction in x y and z of the wind. Finally I’m projecting this visualization into an outdoor space where you can see and feel the wind.
